Grant Efforts

Potential grants funds to Massanutten Country Corner (MCC) to support their interest in increasing access to fresh food in Page County by becoming an aggregating food hub.

MCC has applied for funds needed to build cold storage that will provide local growers, community gardens and backyard gardeners a centralized space where fresh food will be collected, distributed and offered as a cooperative CSA.

Donated produce will be sold to consumers as a fresh food outreach project and branded as Picked! in Page with proceeds going to support fresh food assistance programs in Page County

To secure sustainability and support local growers, Picked CSA options will be also marketed to a larger audience via MCC’s retail farm market.
